Sushi Recipes
So today I bought the basics for making sushi nori rolls at home - the sheets, the bamboo mat, the vinegar and rice… but not the fillings just yet. We both like fresh salmon and avocado, I like plain tuna, but I’m after some other people’s suggestions as to what’s nice, and also easy to put in nori rolls. I haven’t made them since highschool, so don’t want to get too complex!

Personally I think that you can’t beat salmon and avocado, but for something different chicken strips marinated in teriaki or satay sauce with sticks of carrot or lebanese cucumber.

I definitely want to know how the finished product turns out! I love sushi and recently have turned my husband on to it too by starting him out with California rolls!

California rolls are those weird inside-out ones, right? I think I’ll keep the rice inside the roll for the first times :) http://www.sushi-guide.co.uk/method/makimethod.html

So I made the avo and salmon, they turned out nice… tried tuna and mayo, because I often like that from sushi world… but miine weren’t as good, probably not enough mayo :p

Oh it’s really affordable! I have never really bought sushi…although I have tried it in a Chinese buffet. Sushi is really delicious dish.
