So, I had thought that my sister was having some sort of hen’s night/more like a bridal shower/girly afternoon with champagne this Saturday, and that that was what I was tavelling up to Newcastle for… however apparently she’s not any more… I’m sure I’ll find out more down the track, but I’m too tired to talk to anyone on the phone right now, so it can wait for tomorrow. It means I’ll probably hit Clint’s Australia Day BBQ / Hottest 100 party sometime through the day, instead!
What do I know about this wedding? I thought I had shoes and no dress up until Jan 5th. But now I have a dress and no shoes (I can’t wear silver shoes with a black dress… some people say I could, not that I’ve tried it on yet though hmm). So I’ll hopefullly find some new heels in the next month. It’s on Feb 23. It’s Jan 22 today. A month.
We have flowers, Mum tells me. Excellent :)
It’s in the Cathedral. If that roof collapses on the day, you should possibly look at me (and my darling Rish) to blame. ;)

Having a dress and no shoes is definitely a better situation to be in. You’ll find some shoes with no trouble! This wedding keeps getting more interesting everyday :-)

Start looking for shoes NOW. Finding strappy heels at this time of year is nuts. They don’t in general bring out new stock in formal shoes until around September and all that is left in stores at this time of year are the dregs of last formal season. If your sister is willing to have not the exact same shoes for all bridesmaids this will make your job easier. For comfort and price, try Williams and Mathers. They are the most likely chains to have something in all sizes as they can ring around stores, but as I said, this time of year buying formal shoes, nuts.
As for the Cathedral the roof hasn’t collapsed on me any time i’ve been in there so I reckon you’ll be alright. :p
Friday night I’ll hit the shops I think. I think Jen can deal with us having different shoes, given hat one of the bridesmaids isn’t wearing a dress…

who’d have thunjk it that you wouldn’t be able to get a size 26 dress at short notice…..
So two of us are in the same thing, the other girl is wearing and pants/top thing that I have NO idea about… All I know is that the top is apparently similar to our dresses in fabric/style…
It’s all a mystery to me!
If I was in Newcastle I’m sure I’d have been a bit more directive and trying to get her organising stuff… I’m sure I’d have been thrown out of the bridal party by now (hey at least they’d look hot!)
Oh remember the other dresses I’d linked to on facebook aaaages back? Well, me and the other girl tried them on and we were all set to order once the third girl got around to getting fitted… but that apparently never happened…
Right. Wonderful. size 26 is not something they have a lot of on-the-rack dresses for. Well at least you get to be hottest bridesmaid. What’s this dress like anywho?
If you’d been around you would have HAD to organise things. This way you only have to turn up, look good, hold things, smile and drink wine.

Okay I have it on now, so can tell you more.
Black. 2 layers… one oopaque one layered over it and thin. the top is a v neck under morestrappy. it is just beklow my knees at the front, and about 3 incheces lower ast the back. Instead of having small bresats, I have NO breasts in it… but it also makes my tummy go away, so I’ll deal :p sleeveless.
Meh, just stuff some fillets in there or something. Jo wears water bras and they look good but i’m not sure if there are many in the strapless variety.
I’m finding the dress hard to picture, but black and strappy is rarely a bad thing.
I don’t think I’ll need strapless with this dress.. I’m really bad at describing! But I’ll find me some cleavage someplace :D
