Splatter – the musical

So we went to see Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street last night. It was that, or Juno, but we figured we could watch that down the tack on dvd… theory is, that a serial killer flick with sining would be much better on the big screen. And given how dark everything was, I don[‘t think I would have been able to see it that well on the computer monitor!

Yet again though, I’m glad I didn’t have to pay full price to see it. After, yes again, having issues with the gift card Mum gave me (it was replaced last timer we went) and me getting flustered over that, it was only $8/ticket (anyone know if they’re also looking at closing Greater Union at Manuka? Just because tickets were $8 in Civic before that closed recently…)

Excessive amounts of blood splatter (how many slashes and stabs should it take for the blood to stop spurting out of a neck??) and irritating parts to the story (I’m sure there would be more to it in the book…) but yeah. It was a nice way to spend the evening, although hunger took a bit to set in after it *blech*

Today’s looking like a quiet morning, maybe odd jobs in the afternoon, and catching up with friends and/or dancing tonight. I will be needing caffine though, as for some reason we stayed up waay too late watching the Sixth season of Scrubs, and was left banging our heads against the walls at the predictable and cringe-worthy end to the season. But yes, when we get our hands on it, we’ll watch season 7.

Loving the new site … looks great!

I will have to see both of those, but I do love me some Johnny Depp. Hopefully the spatter was still worth it though!
