It’s just a song
I wasn’t going to buy anything today, but on my way into the city, they said of Triple J that the Hottest 100 cd was being released today, so I just had to pop along to add it to my collection.
If you buy it from the ABC shop at the moment, it’s at the bargain price of $24.95. For 2 cds (a huge 43 songs!) that’s an awesome price. even if there are a few songs you will skip every time ;) Tracklisting is here.
Which brings me to having to sort out the songs I want on my ipod again. While at the gym, pondering the question of whether it’s true that thin people run or that running makes you thin (while huffing and puffing away feeling like I was dying), I realised that I really need to set up two playlists on my ipod – one for active gym stuff and one for calm, trying to ignore everyone at work while writing reports stuff. Because I kept having to skip over songs that I love, but that wouldn’t make me run. SO that’s what I want to achievve tonight. Two playlists!
Thought I might share my gym efforts on here. Yout won’t be privvy to my food journal because that’s still a little shaky and too personal, but the gym stuff I might as well!
Treadmill: 10mins, 1.25km, 88cal (5 mins @ 9.0kph)
Crossramp: 33min, 4.33km, 317cal
Treadmill – Intervals 5.0/9.0kph: 30 mins, 3.45km, 253cal.
I picked the last interval up to 10.0kph to see what it felt like. It was hard but didn’t feel too bad. Might push to that a little more next week :)
(please keep in mind that I’m just getting used to the jogging thing!)

Hmm… there are alot of songs on there that i really don’t like (that would be no surprise to you after aus day :P ).
But I’ll probably buy it anyway because the hottest 100s are always like the soundtrack for the year… although i probably don’t particularly want to remember the year… but still. it captures the essence of a time and a place. garbage paranoid still takes me back to yr 11 threadbo…
sigh. your level of fitness is beyond anything I could ever achieve. You are making me feel like I should work out though, and with everything at my maroubran fingertips (fitness first across the road), it might actually be enough to get me there.

it’s really not funny what a pathetically weak and unfit pansy i am. i need to be around more fit people and hopefully i will succumb to peer pressure (because I am such an impressionable little thing, unable to resist advertisement-implanted impulse or bandwagons of any kind)…
at least this is a good bandwagon to be on?
maybe you need to start with walks and light strength training or something. because you could always do with more muscle ;) And I’m not sure where you liv, but I’m sure there’s some hills to walk up and down. I don’t think that throwing youself into running is a good idea, you’d be found in a gutter someplace you poor thing :( but walking, with ipod or similar :)
