I’ll trade you

I think every poor person I run into today will recieve the offer “I’ll trade you my right ear for your right ear”… if they have the idea to bargain me for something of theirs that is also in quite a lot of pain, I’m likely to take it *sighs* I’m off work today on flex… though it should probably change it to sick leave.. but I tried to get in to see my doctor today (on the thought that maybe someone would be able to help me out with the question of why my body is breaking down on me this year) - called at 8:40am, after several attempts at the line being busy busy, I get through at 8:54 to be told that all their slots are gone for the day.

No wonder people are prepared to wait 3 hours at the bulk billing clinic in Phillip in order to get a medical certificate and antibiotics regardless of whether they have something that needs to pills or not *sigh* And why I’m willing to queue before 7am on a weekday outside to get in with only a short wait. They open at 8am tomorrow. I may be seen there.

Not that I know if antibiotics will help me or not. But maybe reccomendations on the right sort of way to knock this pain out of my ears. *sigh*

Okay, musn’t mope.

ear aches are THE worst…. the only thing i find that helps is lots of neurofen plus/express. then they just feel kinda numb, like you know they should hurt, but don’t.

    hey Kate! :)

I had considered Neurophen plus/ or panadine or soemthing… and that’s only because there was all this stuff on the news about them trying to make codine drugs prescription-only. Otherwise I woulnd’t have thought to even buy that stuff.

Though I’,m still getting by on cold and flu tablets and/or panadol.

You have been sick a few time already and it’s not even winter. Hopefully the doctors have some idea about what bug keep lurking around and bothering you.

I’ve been sick in Febrary the past few years - I blame it on the kids getting back to school and then getting back to seeing me. But that’s gone by March, not dragged through Feba nd into April.

there were 5 people off sick on Thursday, and proabbly more off on Friday when I wasn’t there.

We seem to just keep passing things around our office. None of us are very good at taking s much sick leave as we should, which always makes things worse. I am definately included in that.

At least I got my flu shot, so that’s a couple of viruses I won’t get this winter…
