Hurts so Good

Did you see the girl in the bright orange t-shirt running along the Kings Avenue bridge late this afternoon with tears streaming down her face? Being asked by her partner whether she wanted to stop and screaming back “No!” while thinking I don’t want to fail over and over in her brain?

*waves*

WE did the 5km loop from the fun-run trying to improve on my time. We walked a small part of it, half the length of the Kings Ave bridge, but ran the rest, and still came in beneath the time form last time. I think it was 30min55sec :) Next time towards the 30 mark.

I thought I was going to die, and finished through a combination of sheer stubborness and fear of failure, along with encouragement from Rish when I wasn’t telling him to shut up. So loving.

Yep! That was the time alright! 1 min 30 odd seconds below your previous time! *kiss*

    Yea! Good for you!

Personally, the only reason you’ll ever see me running is because something huge and dangerous is chasing me. And, I have a note from my oncologist telling me that I’m not supposed to run. Now, biking….

@Network Geek: Rish was kinda chasing me. He’s not huge but he’s dangerous. :p
Biking – I need to use my bike. Iw as given one from someone who left the country, but I still need to adjust the seat – it’s been about 12 years since I’m ridden a bike by myself (not counting the terror of the tandem bike in pokolbin – sry Rish) so I’m a little freaked out by it :) I think I’ll wait until spring now.
