It's me against the toaster

January 10, 2009 · 0 comments

Just before Christmas, our toaster started playing up. It wouldn’t consistently keep the toast down, and when it did, it wouldn’t necessarily cook as expected.

At least not for me. For Rish it was working fine. He could could his toast, and make fun of me while he was doing it. So, he cooked my toast before Christmas.

This morning, however, I had trouble dragging myself out of bed to head into the gym while Rish learns more ninja skills (I not have a sore throat, I keep telling myself. because that’s not happening in 2009)… but once I did, I had a craving for Vegemite and cheese on toast.

Vegemite on bread

Notice something odd there? That’s right, it’s not toasted. Just bread. *sulks* It seems the toaster hates me again.

I’ll win in the end though. When it winds up in the bin and I replace it with something shiny and new. mwahhahaa.

You can toast cheese on bread on the racks in oven. I reccomend just putting the bread in for a little bit first, then adding cheese.

Get engaged. You’ll get like 40 new toasters. We have like 5 of them.

I don’t want to melt the cheese though…

and I’d be such a sellout if I got engaged for the toasters :)

Oven and grill are great ideas… but IF YOU EVER GET Desperate…. try the stove top fire. Its HEAPS faster than the toaster :) but heaps more dangerous…. Hmm which makes it more interesting… Bleh… I need to get a life!

I could try doing it on the grill plate of the bbq. That’s sure to be safe :p
