Amanda Palmer – Oasis

I’ll admit the style or the content o f Amanda Palmer or the Dresden Doll’s music is not for everyone. But I have a thing for upbeat songs which may be able the world ending, depression, suicide… or in the case of Oasis by Amanda Palmer – abortion, date rape and Oasis fangirlism (a href=”http://www.metrolyrics.com/oasis-lyrics-amanda-palmer.html”>lyrics).

So, of course, I’m interested in when she blogs that she can’t get the song played on UK stations and certainly not the film clip – with references to Sarah Palin, and a hot nurse bottle feeding a newborn baby beer. It’s such a bouncy song, and I love a dark sense of humour.

If you haven’t, watch the film clip and perhaps read Amanda’s blog entry. And then never listen to her again if you don’t like it. But I do :)
