After a bit of a whinge that I thought it was too dark and windy to run this morning, I did my best time ever. Again, proving that I shouldn’t be listened to when I’m whinging.
29:52 around the 5km loop on Lake Burley Griffin from “The world” (some globe landmark which I don’t actually know the significance of) to Kings Ave Bridge, past all the flags, over the Commonwealth Ave Bridge and then back to the world. Nice.
Not so nice was the rain that started on me on the Kings Ave bridge,a nd continued past the galleries… or the gusts from the buses on the last bridge. But anyway :)
I’ve done something good with my day. Now Rish owes me a dinner. :D
edit: Apparently the world is part of the Captain Cook Memorial which I thought was just the water jet… Now I’ve learned something today too!

Well done! That is a great time for a 5km run, especially when in it is in the rain and done early in the morning.
That’s fantastic!
Wow, good on you! And it always feels and tastes better eating when you’ve done a good workout :)
