Wanting my Nutella!

Friday, 1 May 2009 | Tags : , ,

The plan is to go back to work next week, fit as a fiddle! I’m down to a few coughing fits (had one at 5am this morning) and woke up with a sore throat… and some other semi-related pains due to antibiotics messing with my pill and getting an extra period. *grumbles* Such is life. And I’d rather than that have a worsening chest infection, wouldn’t you? :p

Crumpets have been on special this week -so I’ve been buying them and eating them.. and I’ve been strong even though I bought Rish some Nutino (just a different brand of nutella) I haven’t had any. It’s strangely easy to resist yummy foods when you’ve made a connection between its ingredients and massive stomach pains and other unpleasant side effects. Much more motivating than the fat and sugar content of these things. Chocolate and cream and cheese might lead to weight gain if eaten too much, but then it will also lead to me feeling horrid for the rest of the evening.

At least that’s the theory. I’ve started a food and symptoms type journal to see if there’s other links instead of the dairy one. I like my milk and cheese and chocolate! Feta cheese seems to be okay, but not cracker barrel cheese on toasted sandwiches.

ahhh so looking forward to working again next week. And getting back to the gym!

Aren’t crumpets the best thing in the world? And they taste like they’re so fattening and bad for you but aren’t!

I’ve gone the same thing recently, so good luck (and you weren’t the only one buying up all the crumpets, there were several of us over here doing the same).

I will say one thing though- look at the journal not in a ‘what I ate this morning and how I felt this evening’ way but look at it a few days afterwards as well. Sometimes it can take that long to notice the similarities between food and symptoms.
