She’s Packin’ Lunches
By Fiona on 9th February, 2010
I’ve not been exactly creative with my lunches since the start of Feb (and Febusave) but I’ve been happy with the results:
I’m such a tuna girl. My mum will attest that I used to live on it. Today I had some avocado (a quarter on dietitian’s advice – keeping it yummy but not too much fat), some leftover mushrooms, the tomato was bought it a kilo bag, and the tuna in a huge box. Bargain. (Lack of feta cheese in there… boo!)
It would be even better if I had home grown tomatoes, but I’m not quite up to that as you can see:
My first tomato is nearly ripe, while the second one is only just sprouting. One day! :)

That tomato looks gorgeous! And yay for saving money as well as being healthy by taking your own lunch =)

Great looking lunch! I am a big fan of tuna too :)
I absolutely love tuna. Especially in sushi :b I guess sushi is my favorite, it’s too bad my boyfriend doesn’t like it!

I need to start packing my lunch. You have inspired me to make tuna salad =D
I love tuna too! Those little tins with the sauce are great and just the right size to have with a salad :)

I like the tomato and onion, and the plain, and the olive oil. Oh and I really like the smoke flavour!
A quarter only? Avocado fats are good for you! I ate tuna everyday for nearly a month and am so tired of it now…

Yes, but still can’t have too much of it!
But avocados are the best kind of fat! Seriously, it’s one little “indulgence” that I never feel guilty about. Sans tuna, this sounds like my kind of snack. :)

I should probably add that the dietitian felt that I should probably lose the 4 kilos to get me back into the healthy weight range… but I think I have a feeling I’m going to do that by actually not eating all those sweets and creamy things that make me ill ;)
And the copious amounts of excerise.
Well, those look like some healthy lunches! You are so lucky to have your own garden, most be so great to have fresh veggies in your lunch everyday….my lunches sure don’t look like that! I used to have a garden when I lived in California, but am now just missing it so. …
