Tomato Basil Squid Ink Pasta

From my fridge:
A bag of rather ripe roma tomatoes bought for $2 from the markets on Saturday.
Chili from a jar
Garlic from a jar

From my cupboard:
Squid ink pasta from Xmas
Olive oil.

Tomato Basil Squid Ink Pasta

From my fruit bowl:
onion, from the fruit box I won.

From the shelf:
Tetsuya Truffle salt

From my garden:
Fresh basil

For my tummy! :D (unfortunately it may have all been a bit too interesting for my tummy… my taste buds loved it!)

I love condiments in jars. I used to get an onion + garlic + chilli mix from the Griffith shops all the time. Hello, laziness!

Now, I haven’t clicked through to the recipe link yet, but would I be correct in assuming the truffle salt is your addition? Gourmet fancypants brilliance :D

I used fresh tomato instead of tinned, and my pasta was different. Along with gourmet salt ;) The addition of chili was mine, too

Everything is better with chilli. Oh, and because I;m a forgetful nincompoop – aiming for an around-Anzac day meet-up sounds wonderful! Toe-permitting :)

Sigh, I can’t wait for tomato season… Such a mound of fresh tomatoes looks like a dream right now!

I have one almost ripe tomato on my plants, and about a dozen green ones…. hoping they’ll still be alive in a week!
