Mothers Day Classic 2010

May 9, 2010 · 0 comments

What a way to spend a mothers day morning – in the Crisp Canberra air, running around the lake in the sunshine.

Today was my third Mother’s Day Classic… and it went well :) My time was 31:10 according to my watch, 31:20 according to my official time that was just smsed through to me.

Last year’s wasn’t that great, mostly because I was sick.. The one two years ago was the first time I ran 5km, I think? I did it then in 31:55… haven’t improved much in that time, sooo many stop starts.

Ran into Jen there – her first (of many more to come, I’m sure) go at the race. She got a good time too!

I’ll have to admit the showbag at the end wasn’t as good as the last couple of years, problem with no longer having Tupperware as a sponsor (no more breast-looking bottles!). Got a small thing of hairspray, some panty liners, a pen, a discount voucher for vitamins and a Belconnen Markets drink bottle. And a banana, which I scoffed down.

Okies, back to work. Apparently I have a weights session with Rish at 3!

Hope you had a good mothers day! Apparently, Australia is one of the best places to be a mother. Second best, in fact. Enjoy.
