I like that the wholemeal turned out as well as the white, as I’d much rather eat something with a little more fibre. Great toasted, with avocado and tomato on top for lunch :)

Less like olive oil than the white bread and more bready. Still best for toast, though, I find it too dense for sandwhiches,.
Brilliant! It must be holding together well for you to get such thin slices from it :)

MUCH easier to slice than the regular multigrain I make
ooohhh yum yum
could you please email me some? It looks much nicer and tastier than my bread from the shop!
Hehe you need a breadmaker
I’m not a huge fan of Deeks bread, I do like Zendher bread which I can get frozen at Belconen Markets Organic Butchery. I tried making my own from scratch last night with sorghum and brown rice flour, but it wasn’t a success. Back to the drawing board.

Thanks for the tips :)
Not ready to venture beyond packet mixes, but one day!
I tried the orgran wholemeal breadmix in my breadmaker (on rapid), but substituted 1/2 a cup of water with milk and added 1tsp of yeast, and it turned out nice and fluffy! Tastes better than the non-gluten-free boring white bread I used to buy
(P.S. I know this post is old, but wanted to see if anyone had success with this bread mix, as all the others I’ve bought have been disasters!)
