Day one … Done!

August 1, 2011 · 5 comments

Let’s ignore the cold shower in the morning because the flatmate’s boyfriend forgot to turn the hot water back on after doing some repairs on the weekend, and talk about the rest of the day, hey? ;)

August 1 - Orientation at the Cerebral Palsy Alliance

Today was spent in Terrey Hills at Corporate Orientation Day. Which meant over an hour drive to get there (I can walk to my regular workplace from Wednesday!!!). But it was a good day, well run, getting some of the ‘bigger picture’ stuff about my new workplace, including how funding works and info about yet another debit mastercard I can get to save on tax when eating out (food bloggers dream card?).

There was a range of people there – allied health, support staff, IT. And all were lovely and I learned that it’s the start of Ramadam because the IT guy couldn’t eat lunch.

Tomorrow is another day of training, this time at Ryde, a little closer but still getting used to the traffic. Sydney has it. I’ll be learning more specifically about Cerebral Palsy and working with people with disabilities.

Superstar! Well done for tackling everything head on, and on the back of a cold shower no less! Can’t wait to hear about the rest of the week xoxo

Hooray! :D It’s so good you can walk to work now, don’t even get me started on traffic. Even on the bus, it took over an hour for Regan to get to work
