(play all the clips on the post. if not now but this week, because these women are AMAZING)
(Love Outside Andromeda should have been on the list)
So, we went down to Sydney for an AWESOME CONCERT fronted by some amazing rock chicks (The Super Jesus and the Baby Animals!) And, since we were in Sydney proper, we HAD to have decent Chinese food (since it’s not really a Newcastle thing).
So, we had a whole duck, firstly in pancake and then in San Choi Bao at Emperor’s Garden BBQ. We were soooo stuffed and happy, but we also managed to finish a delicious Tasmania Pinot Noir with our meal.
So light and smooth!!!!
So, the concert was awesome, from the warmup til we left.
The warmup act was so cool an all chick four piece punk/rock act called BANDINTEXAS. I wanted to jump on the drummer and take her home.
And the rest of the night was awesome. Rocking out to Sarah McLeod and The Superjesus? Was it 1998 again? I was in HEAVEN!!!
So, I seem to have a spare cope of the She Who Rocks compilation album, which by the way, is a charity thingy that give $1 to Cervical Cancer research if you opt to buy it?

That cute and colourful canvas print of Liam and Ez is a 45cm x 30cm print. I linked my Flickr account up and used that to source a photo to be printed. You can also use Instagram, Facebook and Google+ photos as well as uploading your own or using one of their Canvas art options.
So, I got this cool spray on Banana Boat sunscreen to make sure I keep screening up in winter – and it’s so easy to apply – look!!
No messyness, no white stuff, smells alright too!
So why should you keep on sunscreening in winter? (aside from the obvious need to at the snow where it’s a MUST and you’ll still get goggle tanlines anyway!)
UV in Australia can still be pretty damn intense even when you’ve only got your face exposed to the elements. Any more than the 10 mins for vitamin b is still a bit much for pasties like me.
1400 people died from skin cancer each year in Australia.
Things like Sunscreen lip balms are amazing for keeping your lips from becoming cracked and ewie.
Even if you’re not prone to burning, protecting your skin from UV rays is helpful for holding back wrinkles and the like (experience lines, sure, but I’m for keeping them away a little longer, I still get carded dammit!)
Want to give this spray on sunscreen a try? I have two cans to giveaway to Australian based readers. Just follow the instructions in the Gleam giveaway widget below.
During the massive storms last month, along with floods, massive high tides, and branches coming down all over the place, our sewerage system got a little backed out – things were not draining properly, sinks and toilets threatened to overflow, and the sewerage drains in the backyard DID overflow (toilet paper in the yard was the proof!) I know it isn’t the most glamourous subject to write about, but blue loo!!!
We pressure cleaned the outside paths and such, but the toilet needed something extra to reverse the smell and fortunately, I’d been sent a bunch of Harpic cleaning supplies to try out not long before!
So, the long life blocks went to my sister, the dual action blocks went in our loo (Dad’s call). The two blocks are supposed to clean extra well with the baking soda of the white tablet, and the blueness of the blue tablet. They were easy to throw in the cistern, and it seemed to do the job… however not all that long lasting as the one I gave Jen, but that’s given me the chance to have the Flushmatic in the cistern and the Harpic Power Plus toilet cleaner in citrus (yeah, sucker for citrus). The Flushmatic was a little messy to mount, since I had to attach the twist-tie like hook to it, plus it has an open top… bit of scrubbing to get the blue off my fingers. The Power Plus was simple, it doesn’t sit curved against the bowl, but once I realised that was okay, I moved on with my life.
Oh, the flushable wipes came a little later in my mailbox, but boy do they work!
So, do you wanna try these products?
I’m giving away a bundle of Harpic products to one Australian reader. The pack consists of:
Dual action block
Long life blocks for cisterns
Please answer the following question in the comments section and share via the means in the RaffleCopter for extra chances to win. The winner will be selected randomly, and entries close Monday May 25th.
If toilet water could be a colour other than blue, what would you choose?
