A Priest and an Athiest walk into a cafe
So, Rish is on a plane right now, heading to Malaysia. He left Sydney 2ish, so should get to KL about 10 my time… a couple of hours there, then he’s off to Frankfurt :) So didn’t want to leavce him at Sydney airport this morning – but I reasoned that it’s only a week until we’ll meet up in Athens – it’s the goodbye after that week I’m not looking foward to, because then we’ll have 4 weeks apart!
We had a wonderful dinner last night – at The Chairman and Yip :) Took advantage of their eearlybird deal, drank a ottle of New Zealand Pinot and then went for cake at Cream (hottest waitstaff in Canberra) :D Wonderful to have an evening to ourselves before we had to part.
I’m leaning towards an early night tonight – zonked after a week of late nights and a long day today. Need to save my energy for monday! I’ll just have to come down from my caffine buzz from having coffee with Rish’s parents and the priest… he smelled nice like insense :)
Dammit, I need a countdown
I’ve been crossing off the days at work (only 10 more actual working days in that! Including today!) but even though I should be getting excitd, it still seems a long way away (2 weeks) until I get to go on my holiday. I have a huge list of things to do at work… and this week has just been a long week in general. Lots of running around that we don’t normally do…
But it’ll be worth it! I’ve already cancelled the newspapers for July, need to put the mail hold form in soon to – probably early next week – So don’t mail me any perishables in July ;)
*dances*
Less than two
I have:
- Tickets to Greece
- and a massive headache
Not related whatsover. I have recently woken up from a nearly 2 hour nap after work after trying to get rid of headache through panadol, water water and more water, and food.
So I tried sleep.
no, the headache is not as bad as before, but it’s still there. Fortunately, I can probably take some more panadol soon, if I can scrounge some up.
In other news.
I jogged 4km this morning. Given that was on the treadmill, and not 5km, I’m not sure how I’m going to go at the funrun on the weekend. Oh well. I’m enjoying this. :)
Obviously I’ve skipped my Wednesday night Pump class for sleep. At lease I’ll be able to go Saturday this week.
And yes, I have tickets to Greece. Fly out at 6pm-ish on July 7. So that’s just under two months away. In two months I’ll be in the sky! I love having something to look forward to. :)
Hardy like a cactus (or my bamboo)
Andrew’s wedding on the weekend was lovely… it was great to catch up with people again, just like when the stray person heads down our way you remember how much you love the people you’ve left behind. Caught up with our families for breakfast on Saturday – it’s funny how Canberra is just that little bit too far and too cold for people.
Had a fun night – too it upon myself to dance with the flower girl for ages. Plus, they gave us little cactii as bonboniere! The type with soft “leaves”, potted and wrapped in pink. :) Mine’s sitting on my desk ast work – hopefully it will have as long a good a life as the bamboo I got when I left the early childhood team – it was about 20cm then, and now it’s probably a metre tall. I’m planning on (when i get around to it) chopping it and trying to see if I can sprout the cuttings. It won’t harm the originial, I just don’t know if I’ll succeed with the growing.
Organising my flights to Greece this week – the daughter of someone at work is a travel agent, so I have her giving me quotes today, hopefully they’ll be in my email by the time I get to work (staying home for a bit for the plumber to come) and then I can feel much more organised.
So looking forward to a holiday – 2 months to go! :p
Rainy weekend
So often I come home from long weekends rather tired, and so not ready to face the working week again.
I think it has alot to do with the travel. Even though Rish is often the one to do the driving, I still get tired travelling, have a hard time sleeping in the car, always still watching the road. But that’s my problem, hey? :p
We got to the beach, even if it was Monday lunch, and even if we didn’t swim. We still saw beach, I still got enough sunshine to bring out my freckles. :)
Last night I dreamed that I was in a plane crash. I blame it on me completely forgetting to call Rish’s mother to organise our flights over the Greece in July. It looks like I’ll spend a few weeks in Greece, rather than chopping around Europe. Rish will be usy druring the times I was looking at, so I’ll just have to leave him to his work and what he’s meant to be doing while he’s there, and I’ll just have to spend more time in Summery Greece :p Such a shame. Going the start of July – just over 3 months! :)
