The fun of the school holidays means I can have my niece and nephew over in the middle of the day. For playing in the park, and being creative indoors.
This doona cover from Just Bedding (gifted) has been a hit. Fantasy styling in a sari print, my pillow case gets a good reception when I take it for sleepover shifts, and the kids were all over and under this bright happy print!
I have even coerced under it for Liam to tell me a fantastic story about Frozen, Makka Pakka, Optimus Prime and explosions. Several times.
Lego Guitar Hero was then insisted on, and we rocked out!
This week we have the margarita… We used tequila, triple sec and lime juice in a ratio of 2 – 0.5 – 1 (4-1-2 for 2) as I’m not too much of a fan of the sweet stuff. We also mixed it up with limes and lemons because limes are freakin’ expensive at the moment, and friends and family keep giving us free lemons!
This, along with a chicken caesar salad using the yummy gluten free Orgran herbed quinoa croutons fueled a night of Guitar/Band Hero shenanigans.
So. Guitar Hero is one of those things I’ve been scared of. Scared of Trying. And being USELESS at.
But, with an enthusiastic boyfriend (who is working towards having all Guitar Hero titles for XBox 360), I’ve been able to move on from trying to sing to actually trying to do the bass lines. Which is FUN, except for Metallica :p
So, I could save you Baby, but it isn’t worth my time.
Nirvana is my fave, because I SING and do the BASS line.
