- Was the first day back at work for the year for me
- I remembered to book the car in for a service
- I locked myself out of the network by forgetting my password
- It got reset at 2pm
- I sounded firmer than I am about my future plans
- I got new clients
- I handed some over to others
- I confirmed a trip away next week
- I selected flights to Melbourne on Jan 28 for a meeting. And shopping. I need a dress for a wedding the weekend after on the Gold Coast.
- I cried.
- Amanda’s fiance came in and had afternoon tea with us.
- He told us about her illness. About those two months.
- I’m glad I went to the afternoon tea. Even though it was hard.
- But I’m sure it was harder for him.
- I was more open with some people
- And less with others
- I ate frozen berries
- And drank red wine.

She was always so photogenic.

With Term 4 hitting hard, uni all a frenzy, who would blame me for starting think of how much leave to take at January, and how escaped I can get in that time?
At the start of this year, my mother took me away to The Golden Door health retreat in Pokolbin. A wonderful week, but always too short…

While I’d love to go back, I think some place closer, and a little less expensive would be just as nice. I wanted to get away to someplace without mobile reception, maybe a trip to Cedarvale in the Kangaroo Valley would go down well? Bushwalks, massages, vegetarian food, relaxation, and a week or two without internet, caffeine, alcohol, and mobile phones!
Sounds exactly what I need! ;)

We’re up in Newcastle – being social butterflies and trying to relax all at the same time :) Beach today and yesterday and much much food!
I hope everyone has a great couple of weeks! We’re off to NZ on Boxing Day, so will probably check in sometime after new year!
Take care! :)
