Went for a late breakfast on a Thursday morning with my parents at Hughzies at Toronto. I’ve been there a couple of times now, for different meals, and I’ve always been impressed :)
Mum had the Bircher Muesli, and I had the fruit salad, stealing her honey to top it.
Dad had eggs Benedict with bacon AND ham, while Rish had some banana bread.
Ahh, long weekends. Not too much traffic on the drive up, got stuck a bit on the Central Coast on the F3 on the way back, but not too bad overall. Extra thousand ks on the car, but time well spent to catch up with family and friends, even though this easter was sans chocolate for me, which I think cut down the amount others around me had!
Last time I was up in Newcastle, Lake Macquarie council were doing something on the Toronto foreshore to the old toilet/change block at the lake baths. Seems it’s a new little cafe – selling coffees, light lunches like wraps, and hamburgers and fish and chips (of course!) [click to continue…]
Generous chicken, ham and cheese, great serve of chips (touch skimpy on the salad though). That was Rish’s dinner when we went and ate with my parents, sister and nephew at the Toronto Worker’s Club – a place that looks WAY different from my childhood. [click to continue…]
