31 Photos in 31 Days (Day 1) Shoes!
Okay, time for the foot and shoe fetishists to come out of the lurker-woods for August. I’m participating in 31 photos in 31 days and I’ve decided that each day I’ll share my footwear for that day. Be it my uggies, work shoes, runners or my tokidoki rain boots, you’ll get to share in the joy. And you’ll get to see more of my tights collection! If that’s not for you, go to the project page and you might find something more your style ;)
These shoes I bought in Cologne for 9.99 Euro. Nice comfy flats with a cute little bow that work for work or weekends. A cold, wet day standing in the carpark of a Westfield, with jeans that were about to have the hems wetted ;)
Cool Little Things
Gummi bears on my pillow at my hotel in Cologne!
Having a good time over here, despite tiredness and a case of food poisoning (?from lunch meats or Chinese in Frankfurt). Kicking along. Walking a lot. Having fun, and taking oodles of photos.
(I saw a tub of red yellow and black gummi bears for Germany world cup and almost bought them for my friend Phil. Think he’d be happy with a couple of packs of pillow gummi bears instead?)
(The Flickr photo set will keep growing as I get reliable interwebs. Enjoy!)
Celebrating 5000 Flickr Pics!
My 5000th upload to the most awesomest photo hosting on the web, Flickr!
And my firstoldest?
I would have had older on there, but they may have been deleted over the years. I love you, Flickr. <3
One Day Down
Yes, I got through a day at work this week. I feel rather drained, but some things that helped:

A soy latte to start the day from my most referred search term – Lava Espresso, Weston :)

A black cat, up to mischief on the path to work

A purrty flower on the way home.
Can I go to bed now?
Start and Finish
Started the day with a walk around Holder and Duffy… I think I saw the first Kookaburra since I’ve been in Canberra!
Finished the day with a run around the bridges with Rish. 5k, and back under 30mins (29:49)! Even with the wind. eeps.
Clouds over Lake George
With the wind farm in the distance. Gorgeous.
Flashback
That ^ is my most viewed picture on my Flickr stream. And it’s not even my ankle.
It’s closely followed by these two:
Both from my undergrad days. How colourful ;)
Rainy Day
After us all going on about how great the weather was over the weekend, and how great the sunshine made us feel (I even got a bit pink on Saturday sitting out in the sunshine!), the rain came last night. Oh well. At least we got a run in yesterday – about 6km from ANU to the boat hire at the lake and back, only walking the downhill parts – to save my aging joints :p
My body is so sore after yesterday’s jog though. My core from holding me upright, mostly. Good though, right? We all know that area could do with a bit of tightening up :p
