1. KC Winter Wonderland Event
KC Wine CO is a boutique winery in the Midwest known for palate-pleasing wines and ciders. Besides making excellent drinks, this winery also hosts a myriad of events all year round. Among them is the KC Winter Wonderland event, brought to you in conjunction with KC Pumpkin Patch. This holiday event allows you to walk around the farm, enjoying the incredible sights and sounds of the holidays this year. 2. The Holiday Treasures Craft Festival
Do you have a soft spot for hand-crafted items? If you do, consider checking out the Holiday Treasures Craft festival this year, which has been going on every year for over two decades. You will get the chance to pick hand-crafted holiday gifts for your loved ones. This event will take place on October 22, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. What’s even better about this event is that admission is free and gives you a head start on holiday shopping. 3. The Elf in Concert Event
The Kansas City Symphony at Kauffman Center presents this event as a holiday classic. This event will run from December 21 through December 24, 2022. For the first three days, it will start at 7:00 pm, and on the last day, it will start as early as 11:00 a.m. The one thing you’ve got to appreciate about this event is its organization. You start enjoying it right from the entrance. For instance, you can enjoy parking for only $10 cash and valet services at $20 cash. The event also promises accessibility to audiences needing auditory, visual, or mobility assistance. It will happen at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts at 1601 Broadway Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64108. You can get tickets for this event for between $45 and $105.
4. The Tricks and Treats Around the District
Are you excited about the holiday season? So are your kids and pets. The Tricks and Treats Around The District is the perfect event for you, the kiddos, and your furry friends. You can also tag your friends along. This event, happening across the Kansas City Power and Light District, will take place on October 29, 2022, from 12:00 p.m to 3:00 p.m. You will get to walk around downtown and enjoy a wide range of treats from the participating venues. 5. Spook Fest at Science City
Get your costumes ready for the Science City Spookfest. This annual Halloween event will give you memories that will last forever. The event, which will take place on October 29, will be full of spooky science demos and activities, creepy critters, and much more. The schedule is packed with activities, including the bleeding handprints, spooky skies, and the great pumpkin race. The Science City Spookfest will take place at Union Station. Get your ticket for only $6 if you are a Union Station member or $8 for general admission.
6. Holiday Reflections
The Union Station might easily become your favorite spot this holiday season. First, it was the Spookfest, and now the Holiday Reflections event. The latter is brought to you by BOK Financial and will go down from November 21, 2022, to January 1, 2023. Even better, the activities will be happening each day of the week, starting from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00p.m. We are talking about sky-reaching lights, decorated trees, floating mirrored ornaments, and so much more. Tickets will go for $7 on weekdays and $9 on weekends. However, if you are a Union Station member, you pay $7 any day of the week. Your ticket will give you access to the Model Train Gallery. You can also pay an extra $5 if you are a non-member to catch a ride thru Rudy’s Wonderland on the Mini Holiday Express Ride-On Train.
7. EBT Santa’s Countdown to Christmas
The EBT Santa’s Countdown to Christmas is one of Kansas City’s favorite parts of Christmas nostalgia. The EBT Laughing Santa has provided memories at the Crown Center for over four decades. The event takes place during Crown Center Shops’ holiday hours, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. However, it remains closed on Christmas, New Year’s, and Thanksgiving. And you don’t have to pay a penny to attend this holiday event.
